ir01_004_18.jpgWith Ireland on the mind, we decided to dig back into our archives and pull out some of Treve’s images from days gone by. Here’s a photo of Kylemore Abby photographed on a trip to Ireland in 1981. You can also find several black and white images in the gallery available as fine art prints.

Through the month of March you can see Treve’s work at the Fastframe store in Lafayette. The work on exhibit includes several new landscape panoramas, including a winter scene taken during a snowstorm in the High Sierra. Treve will be holding court at the store between 4pm and 6 pm on March 28. The store is located at 3571 Mt Diablo Boulevard

tjp_577_6945.jpgWe recently photographed a luxury apartment building under construction in Oakland for a new Client, Essex Property Trust, Inc. We chose to photograph this project at dusk, with the intentions of capturing a more dramatic scene with the lights on the project. You can also see the new cathedral under construction, the cone shaped structure to the left of the project.

tjp_568_6330.jpgThe holidays often find Treve and his family headed for the mountains. Treve added to his growing stock of landscape and nature photos. Here’s an image of El Capitan with an Oak Tree still holding onto its leaves.  This image and a number of other images is available as a print in several sizes. Click here to buy a print. If you need artwork for home or office, or for a clients home or office keep us in mind. We can supplyartwork for corporate and residential use and we have a stock of images that goes way beyond what is available on the website. Contact us if you are looking for artwork.

tjp_564_5944.jpgWe recently had the opportunity to photograph the Flight 93 Memorial in Union City for one of our clients, Robert Mowat and Associates, the landscape design firm that designed the installation. This memorial is a tribute to the passengers of Flight 93 who perished on September 11, 2001. You can read more about the memorial in a article that appears in the Weekly Standard.

tjp_442_4943.jpgSave the date of December 4 to hear Treve speak about hiking in Patagonia. The previous REI presentations were so well received that REI invited Treve back for a presentation
in Berkeley. Once again he will share highlights of his week-long adventures, in 1979 and
2007, hiking the “W” route, a portion of the classic circuit around the park’s signature Torres del Paine (Towers of Paine) and Cuernos del Paine (Horns of Paine). Learn how to plan your own Patagonian adventure with Treve’s tips on gear, camping vs. hostelling, and best times to travel.  The presentation starts at 7 p.m.

tn_tjp_totes_0426.jpgWith the holidays approaching you might consider some of the products we’ve added to our on-line store. We now have three tote bags that feature Treve’s photography. We have two medium bags, one with an image of the Marin Circle, another with an image of a market in Bali, and the third, our original bag with an image of poppies. These make great gifts. We also have a selection of notecards and prints.

DrgnLf_185.jpgWe recently provided a landscape photo for our good friends at Dragon’s Leaf Vineyard. The images appears on the opening page of the vineyard’s website. The vineyard sits in a lovely location in the Sonoma Mountain appellation in historic Bennett Valley. The property includes 20 acre vineyard, with views of the Sonoma Valley and Mayacamas Mountains.

ws_jmc_1200.jpgOn the evening of October 17th the San Francisco Bay Area NARI chapter held it’s annual awards banquet. We were well represented with four of our clients submitting seven projects and collecting eight awards. One of the projects, a remodel at Julia Morgan Girls School , won Peter Engel, architect and Woodshanti, cabinet makers, the Grand Award for Overall Excellence as well as first place in it’s category for commercial remodeling. Jeff King took home four Remmies and More Than A Carpenter took home two. We’d like to think that our photos were a big part of making a winning presentations and the judges agree. Not all architectural photography has to be about the structure. Sometimes it’s fun to show how the structure relates to people.

7thAve_MyPub_book.jpgWith some of the recent advances in on-line book publishing we’ve discovered that it’s really easy to produce a stunning book of photographic images. In this book we feature images from one residence, identified as the 7th Ave Residence. This is the project that won one our our clients, Jeff King Remmie awards for first place in green design and grand prize for best overall excellence. and was featured on the Green Home Tour recently. You can look at the book at MyPublisher.com.
